Human vs Nature | Nature vs Human

CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19

The Rouge River Winds and music director Pratik Gandhi invite you to join us for our most ambitious concert to date: an exploration of humanity’s often-fraught relationship with nature. Alongside established masterworks such as Ticheli’s “Vesuvius” and McBeth’s “Of Sailors and Whales”, the band will present the beautiful and inspiring “City Trees” by Michael Markowski; “Skyline” by Toronto composer Evan Hammell; and the seldom-performed “Endurance” by Timothy Mahr. The program will also feature the title movement from Steven Bryant’s “The Automatic Earth”, which RRW helped to commission, as well as Solo Competition 2nd place winner Paolo Rosselli performing the first movement of James Beckel’s “The Glass Bead Game”.
