Subrina Sookram is an avid flute player and private teacher from Toronto, On. A proud graduate from York University’s Music (B.FA specialized honours) and Education (B.Ed, OCT) programs in 2013, she is currently sits on the executive board of the Canadian Flute Association as their Convention/Membership Coordinator. Subrina often describes her style as “New Classical,” and enjoys playing with various small ensembles. She became a member of the UTSC Community Band in 2013. Apart from performing and private teacher, Subrina can be found reading, cracking a joke about awkward encounters and developing her portfolio to become a high school teacher.
